Best. Husband. Ever.

Happy Mother's Day, geek moms! Here I thought my husband forgot all about the holiday. Look at what he bought me for our new house!
Awww yeah. It's a professionally restored 1997 X-Files pinball machine! He is having it delivered to the new place next month. This is so much better than gas station flowers!
We both made a wish list for our new house, which naturally contained the most impractical things. This pinball machine topped mine! I really didn't think I would get it for a while, though.
A little fact about Brian and I -- we are both the babies of our families and were spoiled rotten. Therefore, we tend to overdo it on little holidays. It becomes a contest, so I have to one-up him for his birthday in June.
Any suggestions?
Oh, and check out the X-Files pinball game in action below! This is gonna rule:

Awesome!!! That is so cool. I was so happy with the bookstore run I got yesterday. Now I just need to find time to actually read the books!

LOL! That's what I just told Brian. I mean, the game is awesome, but I'm working all the time. When will I play it.

WOW! All I got was Crystal Chronicles for the Game Cube (though there is a rumor going around that we will be getting a Wii as soon as they come in next week.) That is AWESOME!

That rules! I want a pinball machine in general, but that's a cool choice too.

Wow, you are the luckiest girl ever!!

Ok, so if I had known that there was an X-Files pinball machine "out there", it would've been at the top of my Mother's Day list. You are one lucky lady!

OMG. Coolest gift EVAAARRR! I am SEETHING with jealousy!! I'm the world's biggest X-Phile! I started watching THE DAY the show aired (I was in 3rd grade. Ha.) and I still watch the re-runs on Sci-Fi. This would totally make my nerdy heart sing! What a great hubby!

Yep, we're big X-Philes, too. In fact, our first road trip together when we were dating was to Roswell. We bonded over alien memorabilia.

Awwwww! Geek love.
I'm way excited for July 25th!! I saw the first movie on opening night with my best friend from junior high, and we're gonna go see this one together on opening night, too. Can't wait!

I'm not sure if he likes to mod his car in any way, but even if he's not that into it, here is one worth looking at: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/9eb2/
I can think of so many MP3 clips I could blast at people with this thing. Just think - Frank Costanza screaming "serenity now!!" while you're stuck in traffic.

Are they still making new pinball machines? I'd love a Battlestar Galactica one (the new series of course!). Although I'm an X-Files fan I'm not as much of one as you are!

Yes, they still make new pinball machines, but they haven't made one for BG yet! That would be awesome, though.

A bulletin board-type site to talk about bloggers!
It’s brand new – get it going the way you would like to see it! New topics at will, and forums by request are yours for the asking.
Blogs are a wonderful way for the blogger to express his or her viewpoint…but they don’t allow much feedback if you happen to disagree, or if you really agree and want to comment on it.
Razzlefratz.com provides a clean slate for you to vent…praise…flame…whateve

Can I use this bulletin board to publicly humiliate spammers who leave pointless, off-topic comments on blogs? Pretty please?!

For you X-Philes.

Man, it's great to see them again but what a lousy trailer.
