Use That D20 For Something Besides Killing Orcs
I just found a great article over on Geek's Dream Girl, entitled "A Musician's Guide to Alternative Uses for Polyhedral Dice." This article explains how to use your dice to learn music. This is a very clever idea and it sounds like a fun opportunity for geek parents to combine their hobby with a little music education. Speaking of D20... have any of you stepped on one of those things in the middle of the night? Ugh, being the wife of a gamer can be painful.
Oh, and for all you single geeks out there, do check out Geek's Dream Girl. The Webmistress is a geek matchmaker, which I think is a brilliant cause. Geek love is a good thing!

Ouch. Yup, I have been there. The worst is when they leave those teeny tiny sets on the floor after tossing them across the room for some unknown reason. The 4 sided is the worst.
Wil have to look at the music article.
This made me think of the old essay about being a geek girlfriend which I can't find anywhere--it was on the web about 10 or 11 years ago, back when we were newlyweds and I was firrst blogging. ACk, I am old!

A worthy cause indeed! ...As for the dice, I will have to acquire some before I can try that out for music. Anything that would make it easier for the musically illiterate like me is a good thing in my book!
