International Reb Brown Day
Who is Reb Brown? Well, shame on those of you who don't know! Reb Brown played Captain America in the 1970's TV movies and Yor, the Hunter From the Future. He was also in such classics as Sssssss (with fellow dreamboat Dirk Benedict), Cage and Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf.
MST3K fans probably know him best as Dave Ryder from Space Mutiny, of course.
My husband and I are a bit obsessed with ol' Reb and would love to meet him one day... or at least obtain an autograph! I think Reb is semi-retired from Hollywood, but International Reb Brown Day could thrust him back into the spotlight.
I just hope this holiday is more successful than my previous endeavors: Michael Dudikoff Day, Don "The Dragon" Wilson Day and Jeff Wincott Day!

Space Mutiny (and MST3K) loomed large in my legend when we were entering the baby-naming stage a year ago:

What always struck me about the MST3K episode Space Mutiny is that not once - not ONCE! did they comment on the fact that the space battle scenes were repurposed Battlestar Galactica shots. It must have been deliberate, because it was such an easy target.

OMG, I know!! Trust me, this discussion takes place in our house at least once a month.
Years ago, someone wrote into the show about this and Mike or someone else responded on the official Sci-Fi Channel site.
Fan: Hey guys, you never riffed on Space Mutiny for stealing Battlestar Galactica footage.
Mike: You're right. We didn't
... or something to that effect, lol.
