Kota The Triceratops, Destroyer Of Pleo
What happens when you combine a Butterscotch Pony with a Pleo? If you said "financial ruin," you were only half right. Playskool has just revealed Kota the Triceratops at Toy Fair 2008. All joking aside, this beast is amazing. Designed for ages 3 and up, this toy triceratops measures over 3 ft. and reacts to touch/sound. Like Butterscotch, kids "ride" Kota and it moves its tail, head, horns and mouth.
It also eats Pleos for lunch, so keep yours away from Kota's ferocious jaws!
If you saw my children's lackluster reaction to Butterscotch last Christmas, then you probably think I've learned my lesson with these kinds of purchases. Ha! If you ask me, they were just waiting for Kota.
My husband shares my optimism. He just saw a picture of Kota and, channeling Sherriff Brody, replied: "We're gonna need a bigger house."
Kota will be available in the fall for the low, low price of $300.

I'm so glad my daughter has grown. I'll never show her a photo of this 'pet.' Instead, I'll point her toward a Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro Electric Scooter at Amazon. It may cost less in the long run, she'll use it in public, and it's almost like a rocking horse. Almost.

I can't wait till there are a few generations of these out and I can get an imitation animal for cheap for my kids--hubby is deathly allergic to the real thing which makes my kids miserable because they want a real pet.
BTW--your captcha ALWAYS makes me write it twice saying the first didn't match, no matter how many times I check it before I click.

Oh, really? It's never given me any problems. I would take it off, but I'm swamped with p0rn spam as it is...

I think it looks like it's dead and has no personality at all. Why would you want something that big. Your kid is going to grow out of it in a year. Pleo has 3 years of changing and growing and adapting to your home. This Kota, will be sitting in the corner collecting dust, because your child won't be able to fit on it anymore.

Are you kidding me? Kids will eat this up! If you think Pleo will be popular with your kids three years from now, you're being extremely optimistic.
Ours is constantly being charged after lasting less than an hour, so who the heck knows if it's "adapting."
